DURATION OF TREATMENT?
The duration of treatment is dependant on the severeness of the malocclusion and so the number of aligners. Easy cases may have lesser number of aligners, and extreme cases may have much more than a regular case. In the latter stages of the treatment, your doctor may want to take another impression and send it to facilty to create new aligners. This is called “refinement” and almost every experienced aligner treatment doctor does this regularly. You’ll not be asked to pay any extra fees for refinement.
After the end of treatment, like every orthodontic treatment, a fixed retainer will be bonded to the lingual surface of your upper and lower 6 front teeth. This fixed retainer will help your teeth to adjust to their new position. We strongly recommend to keep the retainers for life if not for a year, to avoid your teeth to move back to their original positions.
